IB Fourie - Tour leader and initiator of Endurance.

I am full-time involved with an organization called MAIN SA - (Ministry, Advocacy, International Networking by South Africans)
MAIN SA is a mission organization that was recently formed and birthed on 18 July 2016 in South Africa.
MAIN SA exists with the purpose of helping Christian Believers all over the world taking the Gospel of Salvation to them being Gods hands and feet in supporting them. South Africa is part of the World.
We work Interdenominational and distance ourselves from any dogmatic teachings on an outreach. Any focal questions be referred to the students' parents, teachers, and Assemblies
Since 1989, I, Sakkie, have been involved in Endurance outreaches and already completed 32 of them successful. This includes: Various Cycle tours to Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and other Cities, Wheelchair relay to Cape Town, Cycle Tour to Malawi, Kilimanjaro, several peddelcar tours to Botswana, Namibia, Namaqualand and most recently a cycle and jogging tour to the Northern Cape. Visiting Farmers and praying with them. What a privilege!
The Endurance is an instrument that the Lord has given me. Back in 1987 to reach out to children and thus, to make a difference in their lives. Adventure play a major role in the Endurance. I also realized that if i want to implant something in to the lives of children I must reach out to them in a different way.
In short, an ENDURANCE involves the following:
• We introduce Teenagers to themselves and Jesus Christ. Using adventure.
• We put some pressure on them so that the masks they carry can fall off.
• We take young people out of their comfort zone and help them to respond differently in difficult situations. By handling situations on the Endurance differently.
• We show them how to have healthy fun, and to enjoy life without substances they can use or abuse. We teach them that life is not just about yourself. Life is

to live properly, but also to serve those around you. Hence our motto! ENDURANCE
• This is not a five-star holiday. Endurance is a challenge, physically, mentally, and emotionally! For we are holistic beings?
• We give teens the opportunity during the Endurance to reach out to others around them, to serve, to witness and just to have a great time with other youngsters - No conflict with other cultural and religious groups.
• We teach them that you only have one life. "You only live once but if you live it right, once is enough"
Endurance is for everyone
Since 1997 I did Endurances with mixed groups. Groups including “loveable and differently able" children, and children from different ethnic backgrounds.
We experienced that when children are “different” they seldom get the opportunity to be part of an outreach. It is one of our aims to change that perceptions.

In 1997, we pushed this young man in his wheelchair from Pretoria to Cape Town.

In 2011, we took 10 differently abled children from Marietjie School in Secunda on an Endurance through Botswana. What an amazing success. In Botswana, some of the Batswana disabled children also joined us for 3 weeks of fun!)

MAIN SA does the ENDURANCE with Grade 7-12 students combined with young Adults

BACK GROUND

         Our Mission Statement
Aaron and Hur held up the the arms of Moses while fighting the Amalekites. If they got tired and let the arms of Moses go down, the Amalekites started to win. They had to keep Moses' arms up no matter what, so that the Israelites could win the war.
The Persecuted church need us in the free world to be their Aaron and Hur.
For them the war is not over. We serve a great God, a master general, and we know we have won.
God the Farther expects from us to serve our brothers and sisters in holding their arms high during their battle!!
